Unlike self-inking stamps which use water based ink, Maxlight pre-inking stamps use oil based ink. The advantage is that oil based inks evaporate more slowly. Also, the Maxlight pre-ink reservoir is much larger. Both these features give you 3 times more impressions (over 10,000 before re-inking)!
